It's a bold move.

They bring in, and I hate this codename possibly the most of all of the superheroes in Marvel, it might be my least favorite, they brought in the Totally Awesome Hulk-

... which is not the same as-

the Incredible Hulk.

So during your time with Marvel, you end up co-creating Amadeus Cho.

I think Wave is also credited to you as well, essentially giving Asian readers heroes that aren't just necessarily background characters.

Amadeus Cho, for sure, has been a central pillar of the universe for a while.

What has that legacy meant to you over the years?

Oh, it's been huge.

Doing stories with people of different backgrounds, with a variety of backgrounds, but the kind of you know, the reflect the reality in which we live.

That's always been really important to me.

has either green or blue or purple skin yeah um because like the issue with uh they're mostly super soldiers and former assassins that are part of the the thunderbolts and i think that's a good dark avengers or or even a Thunderbolts.

But I think you need an Avengers lineup that has a Hulk in it, whether it's She-Hulk or Amadeus Cho.

You need someone who's got an Asgardian in it, whether that's Thor, Beta Ray Bill, Valkyrie, or just someone, you know? It doesn't have to be those exact categories.

I'm kind of talking about the Illuminati a little bit now.

He shows up in a meaningful scene talking with Sam on his left, which was really, really fun to see.

Uh, there was going to be an Amadeus Cho cameo, we believe, in this movie.

The original George joined AIM in a lowly position to help them design the Cosmic Cube, which I'm sure we all know what that is.

This... process needed a supercomputer so the head of aim at the time forcefully turned george into modok because they needed somebody to do the calculations uh he ended up being a villain of high intellect and ambition and was kind of all over the place avengers x-men fantastic four uh but Later on, the original MODOK was actually turned back into a normal man by Amadeus Cho, who is a Hulk.

The original does not remember his time as MODOK.

He just kind of woke up from it and is now being rehabilitated.

And a very confusing time jump because so far, the first four volumes are pretty linear.

And then once you open this book, you're like, whoa, Amadeus Cho on the run in this crazy, almost, it feels like a futuristic New York where S.H.I.E.L.D. is like hunting down the Illuminati and Sue Storm is now working for S.H.I.E.L.D. And like Steve is now an old man.

Yeah.

Steve is now old.

But it was just one of those runs.

And again, a lot of this is unexplained.

All of a sudden, Captain Britain is a part of the team, Amadeus Cho, and then Hank Pym.

So you get this new Illuminati.
