Olympic figure skating champion Alysa Liu says she's taking the season off after her triumph in Milan.

The twenty-one-year-old from California made history in February by becoming the first American woman since two thousand and two to win gold at the Winter Games.

Liu announced her break on Instagram, saying she wants to challenge herself and evolve her artistry.
