Alvin Lucier

Yeah, maybe there are ways we... cannot even imagine right now, or devices we can't imagine right now, that will become instruments of the future.

And what my idea of virtual acoustic is, Yeah, the opportunity to play a lot with what I played with when I was studying this was to record and play, record and play the outcome in the same room, like a piece from Alvin Lucier and really have the...

the fingerprint of the room coming to voicing itself.

So as an architect, I'm very interested in how a room sounds like and how we make that audible.

So I have the feeling, you know, with the festival from the beginning, you know, it's something that happened when I, I had my 30s.

I used to bring music for United States, these CDs that I got by Mimi, many of them, where I started to know Alvin Lucier, Eliane Radic, and we sit in the living room and we just listen to this music, you know? And I feel that the festival has a little bit this context, you know, because still it's music that I used to know from long ago and are merged with the new generation.

And I like how this practice from the 60s, 70s, 80s, today have a resonance in the young generation and how they apply to these old ideas for experimental music.

nowadays.
