Um, I'm an altar boy at my parish.

Ah.

And, um, it helped me grow in my faith so much.

I can imagine.

How long have you been an altar boy, Walter?

Oh, I don't know, like nine months.

What was-

The other altar boys that I used to, um, I used to do it with, well, they were, they were wild.

So we had these, um-

I have this clear memory of, um, you know, when you f- when the, when the mass first starts and you, like, do the procession down the aisle, you, um, t- two of the altar boys would have-

Oh, yeah

She's in Escondido, California, a lady.

And she says, I don't like having lay people in the sanctuary in any way, the exception of altar boys, though.

I'm not an old school person who just won't let go of the way things used to be.

I'm 22 years old and I don't like the changes brought about by Vatican II.

I just have a question and a comment.

Okay.

So is there any correlation or is there any studies done by Catholic researchers, researchers about vocations on like parishes who a majority of females compared to parishes that are maybe more in line with altar boys and male altar servers and limiting the role of the female on the altar to promote vocation? I don't know.
