Um, I, I had this gig at Bow Ties.

It was a little nightclub within the Hilton Altamonte Springs, and I'd had a gig, like a standing every Thursday night gig there that I went.

It was literally right across the street from the, from the, from the radio station, XL 106.7, before they, iHeart bought it and consolidated it into their, you know, big, how, how iHeart does where they put all the stations in the same building.

It was owned by Taylor, a guy named Jo- a guy that, the family that owns JJ Taylor Distributing, uh-

They, they owned XL 106.7 at the time.

Oh.

And so, um, I had, uh, Bow Ties at the, at the Altamonte Springs Hilton was my gig.

That was my gig.

Here's an update.

Two of Altamonte Springs' most beloved and longstanding traditions, Red, Hot 'N Boom and the city library, were both on the chopping block as the City Commission met for a budget hearing last night.

Both could disappear under Amendment 3 if that is passed later on this year by Florida voters.

But Red, Hot N' Boom, Central Florida's, uh, largest annual fireworks show remains under consideration for cancellation.

Well, and then they- You're not wrong ...

they recently did one in Altamonte Springs called, like, Operation- There's prostitutes in Altamonte? [laughs] Yeah.

Oh, my God, yeah.

I don't know.

... uh, would have been in The Office, you know.

[laughs] Yeah.

Like, uh, Operation Midnight Heat, uh, Altamonte Springs Police alongside with Seminole County and state and federal partners ran a two-day undercover sting reported August 26th, so just a couple of days ago, resulting in 37 arrests.

Um, y- yeah, they got one guy traveling to meet a minor.

A 4th of July show, uh, in Seminole County could be the victim of budget cuts.

Altamonte Springs City Manager Frank Martz is recommending the city stop holding its Red, Hot and Boom event at Crane's Roost Park.

He says it would save, uh, over $900,000.
