Alpine A110

Well, I'm turning very old next Friday.

So Jeremy from Renault, a friend of the show, is finally letting me drive the Alpine A110.

Oh, I was going to say it's 944.

No, no, he's an Alpine A110 and I've never driven an Alpine A110.

And he said, no, you should take it for the weekend.

So yeah, that's happening next Friday.

So that was me.

That was David Tuig, the man who was the chief engineer for the Alpine A110.

It was Joanna Fidalgo, who is a complete lunatic who loves K cars and everything else.

And she does everything.

That's also interesting as an interesting proposition.

An electric A110, that could be an interesting little car.

they do, my God.

Well, possibly.

Every third car's an A110.

Yeah, yeah.

And he's kept it in his little museum.

I think he replaced it with an Alpine 110.

That's a daily driver.

But if

The sad thing is, you know, A110, we mentioned them.

The Mark 4 MX-5 is fantastic.

I love that car.

And there is a little bit of that magic in that, you know, you get some of the same joy out of it.

But yeah, the Alpine A110, fabulous car, but obviously it's auto.

And now they're switching to electric.

The petrol is going to come, but I imagine it's going to be... a bit heavier.

But I know the Alpine watch.

I wanted to get out to the 70th anniversary, but was unable to get there because I, at the moment, I still own an Alpine A110, a modern one.

But as you said, the, the Alpi- the Alpine cars, and anything to do with them, tends to be very unique and very interesting.

I agree.

I'd love to know what people think and what they'd have on their list, but for me, it's a small enough list.

Obviously, Alpine A110, haven't driven one, but shout out to Jeremy in Renault, who I text this morning asking him, A, how much they are.

And he said, 93 and yeah, 94 grand.

And he said, oh, it's a shame they're going out of production.
