Alpha Protocol

So good.

I got Alpha Protocol for $5.

My Steam library is filled with games that are older but run great.

And I spent so much less on them, buying them from Steam, than I would have buying them on either the PlayStation Store or the Xbox Store.

So Karis says, I actually have a proper gaming question like a real gamer, not a whimsical stroll through the crisp aisle of the supermarket.

Can you think of a bad game that would shine with a sequel or remake rather than an excellent game being remastered just to look nicer? And she says something like Alpha Protocol or Metal Gear Survive, both great, but with flaws that could glitter with some love.

To be honest, I had a great time with Metal Gear Survive.

Its flaws weren't awful and would live for it to have a second life.

OK, now with Kara saying that and then coming back to Mike's question of funding a remake, I think these things kind of dovetail together well.

naturally and i think caris actually nailed it right on the top of the head um she says alpha protocol that was going to be my choice as well alpha protocol is something that i would really really really really uh desperately want to get a remake i know it was pretty well known for a while and if you talk to the right type of game critic they probably have fond memories of it but basically alpha protocol was a spy espionage game uh that had a lot of problems in development and I don't know the ins and outs.

I used to know them, but I have deleted that from memory.

But basically, a lot of trouble and development.

It felt really old school.

It felt like Mass Effect, Alpha Protocol, and I think Dragon Age Origins are the games that I mentioned in my review, and that's how it feels here, just in terms of how... all of your choices that you make kind of carry on to pop up in other ways to kind of haunt you in a way.

And I really appreciated that element of it.
