It's good to see him again.

How come they haven't sunk further down the championship standings at various points? I think the answer is because the other guys behind them are all cannibalizing points randomly off each other because all of them have had like one or two good races and then a bunch of really bad races that have allowed them to kind of like average out across points.

So...

Yeah, some consistency from any of Philip Sallage, Alonso Lopez, Colin Veya, Daniel Munoz, Alexis Griege, Tony Abolino, Barry Peltis would be nice at some point in this 2026 season.

Yeah, I don't think those two words, consistency and Moto2 riders, go hand in hand, even in the best of times, I think.

Great fucking race from him.

Barry Baltas third, Ivan Ortola fourth, Arbolino fifth, Guevara sixth, spietti seventh, Alonso Lopez eighth.

oh with that that we will move towards uh the moto t race that first uh qualifying session really it's just who's going to get out of it and it's basically joe roberts salat uh huertas and alonso get themselves out of that first session alonso lopez that is Then you get into the second qualifying session.

And this one, again, it was a little weird going through it.

There's not a whole lot that happens, but we do get Sasaki with a big crash at turn four and five.

Sasaki Celestino Vietti is in 14th and Barry Baltus gets the last point.

It was sort of a follow the leader ho-hum affair, although Alonzo did give you hope at the end, Rich.

Yeah, I mean, Alonso Lopez, who won the race, it would be sort of fascinating to know what they've changed setup-wise, either personnel or on the bike, direction, whatever it is, because he had a good run out at Silverstone, but kind of ran out of tyre or ran out of something as the race went on, as I recall.

But look, it was completely untouched.

But first place...

Alonso Lopez for the first time since Qatar 2024 we get to announce Alonso Lopez as a race winner in Moto2 it's his first podium in a year and a half I think since kind of the mid stages or early stages of last year um It's an unbelievable ride from Alonso Lopez, just to be completely transparent.

I was blown away.

I was actually hilariously talking to my friends before the start of the Moto2 race, when I did get a chance to watch it back, and said, you know, tons of competitive guys towards the front of the grid this time around.

Holgado, Alonso, it could be...

You know, Gonzalez coming back.

And not once did Alonso Lopez's name emerge from my mouth.

Just because it's been so long since we've seen a truly, truly competitive version of Alonso Lopez.

Crazy race to watch, Moto2, for sure.

And, you know, Alonso Lopez for coming there, Ethan Guevara, Davi Alonso, Son of Ages.

I mean, this past weekend overall was some exciting racing.

But, you know, where did he come from, Alonso Lopez? He's been struggling forever.

It's his day.

I was talking to Joey about Moto2 and it's like, he even uses Alonso Lopez as an example.

It's like, you know, like you just get stuck in this rut and then it's stuck in circles in this system of Moto2 and you got to really adapt and then he just goes to Aragon.

At one point I think there were eight riders up in the, the lead group.

Eventually, uh, great ride from Alonso Lopez to, to manage his tires.

Um, w- I agree with Dave, first, uh, half of this, the MotoGP race was great.
