Aloha High School

I have a, I have a-

He went to Aloha High School.

Do you think that means he's from Hawaii?

Is that Hawaii? I don't know.

Okay, Aloha High School.

Hawaii?

Hawaii.

I think they're like, I don't know, I might be wrong, like 5 trillion market cap or some insane number.

And he actually went to Aloha High School here in town.

I didn't know he was a whole school.

He went to Aloha High School and he went to OSU.

Wow.

Oregon State University.

So the boys race, I have to tell you, we do this thing where we give out the Jim Danner Award.

Jim Danner was a longtime coach at Aloha High School, passed really young, excellent teams.

We named the championship race after him.

And then we give a Jim Danner Award.

And then we ended up both in Beaverton in the 1990s.

I was coaching at Aloha High School.

That Aloha High School hosts Nike Portland XC.

They're the host team.

And Steve was a coach with me.

We have 3,600 athletes coming, high school athletes, and maybe 3,700 now.

And we're going to talk about the Jim Danner Championships.

That's the fastest race of the day, named after Jim Danner, who was a legendary coach at Aloha High School who passed away very young.
