It's so much Allyship.

Yeah, Allyship.

Allyship.

And then the Mets.

It's when you're in the room, but when you're not in the room, you're not being an ally.

Allyship can be problematic because in trying to support someone, you can sometimes disempower them and undermine them.

So you think you're helping, but you're actually hindering the situation.

That's something I navigate all the time.

I think that is the part a lot of people miss.

Allyship is not only about what you say directly to a queer person's face.

It is also about whether your values survive their absence.

I've had situations in my life where someone close to me has been incredibly loving and supportive to me directly.

My child knows I accept them is not the same thing as I behave in a way that would make them proud when they are not there.

Love is personal.

Allyship asks what that love changes about your behavior.

So when people say, but I would never say that in front of you, I actually think that is a problem.

Action is not always in the immediacy of things too.

So regulation can kind of help ground us in a real thoughtful way of, of speaking up and, Allyship does not have to be immediate.

Yeah.

And it is not weakness or wrong to witness something and pause.

That's the through line.

Dolly didn't perform Allyship.

She wrote checks, changed names, and answered questions honestly when asked.

No spin, no hedging.

And have ended the lives of indigenous people in this country, and have ended the lives of people of color, Latinx po- populations, all, all sorts of populations in this country.

And so I, I think the decision point for folks who are white-passing or who identify as white is what does your accompliceship look like in your parenting? Allyship only goes so far.

An ally is on the sidelines.

Hmm.

She's recognized for her ability to bridge the gap between high-level strategy and human-centered execution, fostering environments where authentic belonging is a lived reality rather than just a corporate goal.

And I had the pleasure of watching Nani present at last year's International Allyship Day, and gave a whole business case and human case for inclusion with amazing case studies around, uh, a clothing line and, like, an accessory line, um, that her, uh, employer, uh, created.

It was very, very cool.

And International Allyship Day last year when we surveyed folks, that was like one of their main takeaways, Nonie.
