It was worth the wait.

Emma Sears has been, I don't wanna call it a pet project, right? But it's been someone that Emma Hayes has leaned on maybe more than we thought she was ready for when she came into the national team, when she wasn't really performing a ton, um, with Louisville yet.

But she's got 21 appearances under Emma Hayes so far, so that puts her right behind Trinity Rodman, Ally Sentnor, Rose Lavelle, like, players who have been consistently used.

After a scoreless first half, Trinity Rodman got the Spirit on the board in the 65th with an absolute beauty of a goal that brings her to 10 on the season.

But 20 minutes later, Angel City's Ally Sentnor found the equalizer, another absolute banger, marking Sentnor's first goal in an Angel City kit.

Why so newsworthy? Well, the game marked the return of a bunch of players, including Sydney Leroux, who played her first minutes for Angel City since November 2024.

In March of last year, Leroux shared on social media that she'd decided to step away from soccer to focus on her mental health, and later in the year she also shared her experience with anorexia.

And then I think you also have to give kudos to Angel City, I mean, coming from behind to get that draw.
