Karen's fingers danced over a foundry order form, her face pale.

[laughs] Now I am actually doctor, uh, as well, but doctor of blast furnaces.

[laughs] So in, uh, 1971, I, um, uh, uh, get entering in a Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, uh, exactly in a department iron ore thermal treatment.

It's included, uh, blast furnace operation, uh, sintering, and, uh, pelletizing, and direct reduction.

It's, uh, like my maj- major.

And in, uh, 1976, I successfully, uh, finish, uh, university and, uh, were distributed in, uh, one of the best, uh, Soviet, uh, plant, NLMK in city Lipetsk, where I used to work more than twenty years with a, a short, uh, uh, pause for a PhD education in the Moscow Institute of Steel and the lo-- uh, and Alloys.

For this, uh, twenty years in, uh, Lipetsk plant, of course, um, I, uh, short period work as a foreman of blast furnace.

But, uh, after, uh, extra post-graduation, I start working and, uh, continue, um, blast furnace, uh, work as a, a senior, uh, and a leader engineer in a research center of the plant.
