Tell us about your love for T.I.

I've been loving T.I. since the seventh grade.

I remember in seventh grade, we always had to write a journal topic.

And the journal topic was named your favorite artist.

And that's when T.I. became my favorite artist in seventh grade.

And I've been loving him ever since.

And it's just like, oh, I want to meet him one day.

What was the song that lured you in that really made you a fan?

What's so special? What, what is the, the special factor, the sauce that y'all bring every day within each other, not just the game?

Uh, I think we just really enjoy each other.

Everyone on the team likes each other.

Um, in our locker room, there's literally, like, no drama.

We all support each other, especially, like, when, when everybody had, like, their theme.

Like, when Rhi had her theme night, when Angel had her theme night, it's just like everybody's just so excited for each other.

We want the gear and all the stuff that, that's given to us.

[laughs] Like, how can you, how can you not? So, so a little, a little seventh grade A'lisha's writing in her journal, what was the song that lured you in that really made you a fan?

Tell us a little bit about those things that you have going on.

I started the goggles.

Goggles each night was amazing.

Just seeing all the support of the people having the goggles.

Now that the goggles, they're officially sold out, so it's cool that now people get to wear the same as that goggles I got.

It's the same technology.

It's literally the goggles that I wear on the court.

How long did you have to kind of prod Asia to get the shoe? And can you take us into that conversation with her about if it was a foul or not? Because there are a lot of theatrics going on between you two.

[chuckles]

But I, I definitely strategized different, um, this year than last year.

I actually, like, thought the game, 'cause I knew from a guard standpoint that I was gonna be okay.

It was more so, um, battling the post, 'cause I knew last year with Aaliyah Edwards, like, she just straight dominated me, and there was just nothing I could do.

So with my, um, Aaliyah Boston matchup, the night before, like, I was watching my matchup against Aaliyah Edwards from last year, like what I was doing wrong, and then I watched Stewie one-on-one versus Aaliyah Boston, and then I was, like, texting people, like guards that played against post players and, like, won their one-on-one matchup from last year.

So I just had, like, a whole strategy, and when it was time to play, it was just like either I win or I lose, but I know I went out doing what I wanted to do.

... game impact your next game?

Uh, just attacking from the get-go.

But what was that like for you?

Uh, it was crazy.

Um, mailbox full of letters.

It got to the point where I just let my friends open the letters, just for the fun of it.

Uh, just packed out.

And then it got to a point where my dad was like, "All right now," like, "you need to narrow the list down and let these people know, like, where you have a idea of going." And then once that happened, I chose the first college I was gonna go into.
