All Things Open

So before we get into the main topics, though, I got to say, yesterday and today, I went to a local conference called All Things Open, which is an open source convention, I guess.

for mostly like enterprise and developers it was mostly developers who were there but uh yeah i was going there because there was some talk about linux and things like that i i had a good time most of the talks like a lot of trade shows have now been dominated by ai stuff so like there wasn't a ton of stuff that i poked in into but i was able to talk to some cool people A couple of the Linux distros actually had little booths set up, so I got to talk to some Linux people.

All right, so all of that to say, here are some of the upcoming events where I'm going to be in the next few weeks.

So starting next week, I will be at All Things Open, which is in Raleigh, North Carolina.

And then the following week, I will be at JCon USA in Atlanta, Georgia.

And then also I have a Florida Java user group tour, which I've mentioned on previous episodes of this podcast.

So, um, he hasn't responded back to me, so more to come there.

Um, and then we are also actively working on, uh, discount tickets for All Things Open, um, or free tickets for All Things Open.

So if you're interested in going to All Things Open, don't buy a ticket yet.

I'm working on, um, a hookup.

So a lot of partnerships and perks coming.

Um, the-- But I, I'm interested to hear what CoreWeave has to say 'cause I think the whole NeoCloud really umbrellas this conversation that we've had here or parts of it.

I'm also gonna be speaking the following week at, um, All Things Open.

So it's an interesting conference that, uh, that runs out of North Carolina, which it's like 5,000 people and, and they've just done a tremendous job there.

So I'm doing a workshop there.

lordy lordy lordy lordy welcome back today is a story time with eli the computer guy i'm gonna tell you a bit of a story so you will understand why i am losing my mind at this particular article and why frankly we're probably all screwed So anyways, I don't know, a number of months ago, maybe a year ago, I was at a meetup for All Things Open.

All Things Open, to be clear, is a phenomenal organization.

They do meetups in the Research Triangle area, and you all know how I love the Research Triangle folks.

They do meetups there, plus they have two conferences.

They have the All Things Open conference, I think it's in November, and then they have the All Things AI conference that's in March or something like that.

But basically, this is a very large meetup technology community type group where people come together to give speeches, do education and all of that kind of stuff.

And again, it is in the research triangle.

But again, I mean, this is what we're going to talk about today.

And Mark, kind of our partnership with All Things Open, with Todd and Mark's been doing a heck of a job with all things AI.

I was out there speaking in March, and it was a heck of an event.

And so excited to bring Mark on the show today to talk about AI.

I got to figure this out.

So for the last four years, I've been running AI meetups in the triangle.

Last two years, we started, I partnered with Todd Lewis, founder of all things open and we started all things AI and we've done two sold out conferences.
