The drug suspensions that headline the sports news in recent days have affected this 1987 Orange Bowl.

Several players have been KO'd by suspension, including All-American linebacker Brian Bosworth of the Sooners, one of the nation's top players, and the opposing coaches addressed the problem.

I'm completely in favor of testing for all drugs.

I think that anything we can do to help save someone's life and be a good role model for young people and young programs is a positive step.

to in our society as druggies today.

Not even close to being that.

And so the Sooners playing the hand that's dealt them have to go without their best player, All-American Brian Bosworth.

I'm joined by Bob Trumpy.

Mike, it's unusual to have three guys on defense that are first-team All-American.

LaVar gets so much attention, but I'll tell you, those other two folks, Short and Brown, are awfully, awfully good.

Just really cool for him.

He's had such a phenomenal career going all the way back to his freshman season when he was freshman All-American Jerry Rice Award winner.

He'll go down as four-time All-Big Sky selection.

Again, kind of a rare thing to be a four-time All-Conference selection.

So, yeah, I think South Dakota, in my opinion, has shown me more than Youngstown State.

We're still really early on.

Rhode Island is one as well where they've been without their All-American quarterback, Devin Farrell, these last two weeks.

So it's kind of really hard to know.
