And potentially Magdalene gave away a stage win there in the world champion colours in order to get Nomi that win.

What do you expect to see from her this year at Worlds? She, I would imagine, is the team leader for this Worlds, which was a bit different to last year's Worlds where there was that split with, I think it was with Alison Jackson.

Yeah.

How do you expect Mags to race this year's World Championships? And do you think that she's in the form at the moment to go and defend that World title?

The course is a little bit harder than last year though, but she has been competitive all season in the hardest classics.

And she has Sarah Van Damme and of course, Alison Jackson, who everyone knows from her social media.

She's a little bit ludicrous on her Instagram.

But Madelena has Alison and Sarah to share the work and she'll have half a million people on the roadside.

Like, of course she's strong and of course she had the potential to do it, but it's big for Canada.

It was like when Alison won Prairie Roubaix, that you just know inspires the next generation and inspires more young women especially to be in the sport just brings more attention to Canadians and what we can do and to you know like don't sleep on the Canadians they we have a lot of talent and

it just keeps growing every year.

And how are you feeling about getting to race the world championships in Canada this year?

The time is now.

But, I mean, the time is now for a Canadian World Championships on the women's side, isn't it? Because Canadian riders have been absolutely everywhere this year.

Isabella Holmgren, Sarah Van Dam, Nadia Gontover, of course, Alison Jackson, former Paris-Roubaix winner.

I mean, they have really come to the forefront um this year so it's like a you know perfectly timed isn't it denny

More comparable to races that they have done throughout the year.

Like obviously we're going to see Alison Jackson on the attack already in that for 60 K home worlds.

Um, she'll want to see how long she can hold on if she gets a gap going into those circuits.

But I think that she's not the only rider who we're super familiar with, who we're going to see on the attack early, early in the race.

because they're using it as a prep race for the world, similar like the guys were in Quebec and Montreal.

So you've got an elite women's team, national team, and you've got a U23, Alison Jackson, Maggie Coles-Lister, Valérie Mill, Olivia Barré, and then the Holmgren sisters on the U23, Alex Volstadt.

It's a pretty stacked team.

It's tough.
