Two more unique female vocalists now.

In a few minutes, one of the more mellow tracks on Goldfrapp's fabulous electro disco album, Supernature.

But first, the incomparable Kate Bush with the title track from her 1989 album, The Sensual World.

Famously, the album as a whole and especially its title track were inspired by the character of Molly Bloom from the notoriously difficult modernist novel Ulysses by the Irish writer James Joyce.

Lovely track from the album that also spawned the more uptempo glam disco tracks Ooh La La and Number One.

But that track, Time Out From The World, sounds as if it wouldn't be out of place in a Bond movie, like a sort of more chilled out You Only Live Twice.

Unfortunately, it now looks unlikely that Goldfrapp the band will ever record or perform again, since Alison Goldfrapp and her music partner Will Gregory have gone their separate ways.

Alison Goldfrapp, though, continues to record and perform under her own name, and her second solo album, Without Gregory, was released last year.

Well we call it and Sad But New was on the other 12 inch on this.

That sampled the then UK Prime Minister John Major talking about new age travellers and it featured the vocals of Alison Goldfrapp.

It was actually a rework of Sad But True off Snivelisation the album from a year before.

There was another track called The Tranquilizer on this which is sort of a homage i suppose to the equalizer which we featured last week on the program you might remember that well to my ear anyway it sounds sort of a little bit equalizerish and i think it reissued about 10 years ago on the tranquilizer keeps tranquilizing which seems to be a bit of a throwback to the equalizer keeps equalizing so yeah it must be a tie in there somewhere as far as i can see the ep isn't on streaming so you might need to physically track this down seems to be a lesser known orbital ep i guess but you'll have to physically go and grab this it is not on any streaming as far as i can see maybe on youtube go and have a look for it but yeah well 31 years old and i'm pretty sure that's phil collins up to you you decide now as it happens this episode i do have a few records dug out here that have been sampled by big dance tracks that you will know so i'll get to them in a little bit listen out for them they might be subtle but they're in there but for now we go back to december 1988 with a song that hit the number one spot on the billboard hot 100 a huge hit for the fine young cannibals I don't need to tell you that off the album The Raw and The Cooked that is She Drives Meat Gravy or She Drives Me Crazy as some of you may know it as they originally wanted Prince to produce that album but when they enquired he politely told them he doesn't work like that he only does his own stuff but His long-term producer friend, who helped launch his career, might be able to help out.
