Alien: Covenant

He wanted to do a Prometheus Coven sequel.

The plan for Romulus and the way they set up the end of Alien Romulus was that the two survivors were going to meet David and were going to get Basically, a resolution to Covenant while getting the sequel to Romulus and seeing what happened to the Covenant and David and all of the aliens and xenomorphs and all the things that he bred and all those people that were on that ship in stasis that he basically hijacked.

it seems like we're still going to get that from this alien movie.

I just, I'm not sure about the connection with Romulus.

We know the guy who played Andy, David Johnson, is going to be the new Black Panther.

So he's busy.

Is Kayla Spaney going to be busy with X-Men? Are both those actors not going to come back for this movie and they're just going to do what they did in Covenant where they're like, hey, she died off screen.

He turned her into a fucking xenomorph and fucking she's one of the fucking creatures like running around on the planet.

We know that Ridley Scott wants to make this his final part of the Prometheus thing.

It has been confirmed that this will not be a sequel to Alien Romulus, more that it's going to relate to Scott's Prometheus and the Alien Covenant films, but stop short of calling it a direct sequel.

Because there's a rumour that Fassbender's coming back, isn't there?

It's just a rumour at the moment.

And I was like, all right, no more of this.

Watched Prometheus and Alien Covenant with Caitlin, both bangers.

We got about an hour into Alien Romulus, and Caitlin was like, I don't want to watch this anymore.

I was like, I don't blame you.

Yeah.

And it's funny because Prometheus and Alien Covenant both are at their heart about David.

They're about Fassbender and he's the only character you really give a shit about in those movies.

Right.

Prometheus and Alien Covenant, to their credit, ask big questions.

They're dumb questions.

But they're big, and it's asking them.

But for...

And again, from...

This is part of, for me, why I am so into Prometheus and Covenant is I like the way Ridley and his team, and obviously a lot of that has to do with Lindelof and I forget who else worked on that screenplay, but a lot of people working on Prometheus were bringing a lot of ideas about religion and faith and the big questions to that project.

And I think the way Ridley engages with both the idea of the origin of our species, but also the idea of us creating, you know, artificial life that supersedes us in some way.

And like what that relationship looks like.

And again, like Covenant's kind of a mess.

I mean, Prometheus is, you know...

Obviously was received when it came out the way it was received for reasons.

You know, it's not like that movie is airtight entirely, but I would say at least the second or third best alien movie.

Apparently, there was other London-based experiences like this.

There was an alien escape at Madame Tussauds in 2017, which followed the release of Alien Covenant.

And there was FX's Alien Earth Immersion event, which was a short-term promotional lab-themed live experience held in London's Waterloo to celebrate the TV series.

But I never got to see them, so...
