Alien Breed

Very historical.

And Team 17, our favorite Amiga creators, they made a certain game called Alien Breed.

still rock talking about rock hard games there's one more game that came up for the first time in 1991 and it's a present for Keith

developed by 999 Software.

It's in the Amiga Alien Breed 2D style that a handful of late era ST games tried to pull off.

This one is my favorite, personally.

It plays on all ST machines, but is upgraded for the STE with extra sound, blitter, and colors.

So I love this game when I played it.

This is another one that you introduced to me recently.

I did think of Alien Breed when I was playing it, but I think Alien Breed I played for the first time on the PC.

So I don't never played a game like Alien Breed on the ST.

Another fantastic video, which I very much enjoyed.

Video number three for this week is all about Alien Breed.

That's a groundbreaking 1991 game from Team 17 on the Amiga.

Now, this is a channel called Atari Legend.

This is an older video of his from 2021, so it's five years old now, but no less interesting and no less relevant.

And I wanted to throw this one in here because I talked a bit earlier about some interesting ports to the Atari STE, like the Wolfenstein 3D port, and obviously I showed the new Sonic the Hedgehog port as well.

But Alien Breed was, it was kind of a big system seller on the Amiga and kind of, you know, a really big kind of early noteworthy title, particularly from Team 17, of course, who were pretty much a demo group at the time.

But obviously, well, I don't need to talk any more detail about the history of Team 17.

Um-

So I'm very keen to, um, have a little play around with those Alien Breed files and, um-

That was with the payment from Twitch.

I ended up buying Alien Breed, which I broadcast last week.

I'll be doing some more broadcasting.

These were actually bought with crypto.

And, um, we, we had a, um, um, um, what is it? Uh, we had a, um, the game dropped, uh, it was called alien breed as far as that goes.

So, um, I played that, that's right.

I played the demo two weeks ago and this is the actual drop yesterday purchased it.

It's six, it's a retro game that goes back to the Commodore Amiga days.

And it's, it, and it's actually, uh, there's a couple 3d aspects of the game that, um, what is it? Uh, they're, they're pre doom.

I can see where they got the, the, the game doom from, you know, they, they, uh, improved upon it, I guess, but, uh, alien breed is the game and it's over there.

It's posted on all my, uh, all these social media platforms there, uh, rumble, Twitch, uh, YouTube and all that.

Um, and I think the PC version's probably the best version of, of that game as well.

So, and I picked up as well, if you remember the Alien Breed games on the Amiga.

So I did used to play on my Amiga 500 when I was a kid.

I did used to play, um, Alien Breed.

It's like a top-down, almost like kinda Gauntlet slash-

then you've got Well Dweller, Birdcage, And then on the 24th, we have Alien Breed, 35th anniversary collection.

Ooh.

But isn't that just the, is it the PS3 games? They were released on PS3, wasn't it, the trilogy? Yeah.

Alien Breed, which they're okay, but.

Yeah, to be fair, I've never completed one, but I've played all three of them and enjoyed them.
