Alicia Malone

Together, in person, in studio, for the very first time.

I'm Alicia Malone.

And I'm Tom Meyers.

And amongst New York's elites, a storm is brewing.

Where can people find it right now? You can

find it anywhere that you buy your books on my website, Alicia Malone.com.

I have a little, little dropdown menu.

You can choose where to buy it from.

Yes.

So it'll be part of the TCM library and it'll be available, you know, wherever they sell their books, especially on the cruise, upcoming cruise and the festival.

And I've got some book signings coming up too, which you can see the details of that on my website.

AliciaMalone.com. That's new, isn't it?

And here's your host, Brandon Davis.

And it is a pleasure as always to welcome back to Front Row Classics, Alicia Malone.

Hi, Alicia.

Hi, Brandon.

Always so nice to talk to you.

What is the unknown? Can you give us a little bit more information?

I think it's a little bit known, but I'm very excited to announce that I have been tucked away up around, say, 61st and 5th Avenue for the past few months as I am once again co-hosting HBO's official Gilded Age podcast alongside Alicia Malone from TCM.

And season two of the Gilded Age comes out on Sunday, October 29th, 2023 on Max.

And our podcast episodes drop At the same time

But as far as leaving parties without saying goodbye, as a non-drinker, Mel, I have good reason why people tend not to challenge it.

But here is a great technique I learned off the great and powerful film critic, Alicia Malone, a dear friend of mine.

I miss my time working with her in Los Angeles quite a bit.

We had wonderful hangs together.

I'm your host, Mike White.

Today, I'm talking with TCM host and author Alicia Malone about her new cozy mystery novel, Murder at the Movies.

It is her first work of fiction after years of writing about film history.

As you know, she's been on the show a few times to talk about some of her other books, as well as co-host an episode, which was great.

Sean Latch from Versant Power Astronomy Center will look to the skies as we do every month and talk about what's coming up at the center and up above us in the month of October.

Up first, though, great friend of the show, Turner Classic Movies host and main resident, Alicia Malone.

She's written a number of books, all sharing her knowledge of films, all of them nonfiction, including Backwards and in Heels, Girls on Film, TCM Imports.

But now she's turned to the world of fiction with the first book in what she's planning on being a series called Murder at the Movies, a movie palace mystery.

And we had a ball talking with Alicia about all the first.

My dog, my dog Annie, as she often is, was behind me here in the studio.

And we talked about dogs as well with Alicia Malone on Downtown.

I have to check and see if my producer is here.

Hey friends, welcome back to another episode.

I'm your host, Michelle Glugovac, and today we're going to the movies, murder at the movies with TCM host, Alicia Malone.

Now let me start by telling you, I'm a huge TCM fan.

Ted and I watch TCM literally seven days a week.

So getting to meet Alicia Malone is just so exciting for me.

Reading her book was pure joy, a cozy mystery.

And if you watch TCM and get to know Alicia just from watching TCM, you will see every part of her in the book.

Before we dive too much deeper, can you introduce yourself to everyone, please?
