I get, I get you gotta build, you gotta build story, but is it me or was Al- Alicent and Helaena's, like, I guess, arc very hard to watch? I, I, I couldn't, I couldn't.

It was the same conversation every time they talked.

It was getting kind of annoying.

I think that was mostly used to just show Rhaenyra's mind, like, her state of mind and how she's rapidly kind of deteriorating.

But yeah, I agree.

Like, Alicent too, I feel like we talk about greens verse blacks, and Alicent was at the forefront of that for the first two seasons, and she was in all respects a co-lead, and she just did nothing this season.

She sat in a room and then, like, almost killed her son.

I just, I love them.

But at the end of the season, Alicent, the wife of King Viserys, Rhaenyra's childhood friend, is suspicious of these children's paternity.

She basically is probably listening to her dad out of Hightower, the hand whispering in her ear, saying, look, you have these children now who are clearly Targaryens with their white hair.

They are the children of Viserys.

And so she's suspicious of Rhaenyra.

And at the end, Viserys is dying and he starts deliriously talking about the Song of Ice and Fire to Alicent when they're alone.

And Alicent thinks this means that their son Aegon should be the new ruler.

And while this is happening, I believe at the same time, Rhaenyra and Daemon and their kids are heading back to Dragonstone.

You know, I'll give you an example of how I, I utilize it quite often on, on House of the Dragon is I'll, I'll have an idea.

I'll say, "Okay, Alicent Hightower's gonna go for a walk in season two, and I need a, um, a lake that I want her to go to, and she's gonna go for a swim." And I get...

Locations shows me, like, a bunch of stuff, and they're like, "Here's what we think it is." And I'm like, "Yeah, it's not that.

It's more like this." And I go on the internet, and I try to find something.

But yeah, like, I almost feel like they're setting up Gwayne as, like...

And again, he doesn't have a, a counterpart in the books, um, that matches one-to-one, but, but the fact that, like, yeah, they're suggesting that even though you kinda saw him as a dandy and as kind of, like, this, uh, naive and kind of foppish young- or younger brother to Alicent, um, yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Like, on, on the green side, he's the guy I'm putting my faith in, no question-

Um, obviously there's a lot to be elaborated on with that, and I think that these episodes really do an amazing job, especially since I only noticed this when I was prepping the episode, you know, doing a book to show.

But, like, again, this is a grace note that I think Condal gave.

Speaking of inversions, is not Alys an inversion of Alicent? Like, Alys is talking about how she had this child.

Like, that's where my mind went, you know? So, and I, like, I think you brought up a really good point.

I love the show because it's about Alicent and Rhaenyra, right? I always loved the show because of those two bad bitches.

And I've always said that the show shows what happens when men get too involved.

And what I noticed is that the last four episodes were mostly about men.

And then he didn't do it during his death.

He didn't like make an announcement.

And then he made that stupid remark to Alicent because he was losing his mind and he thought Alicent was Rhaenyra.

You couldn't have put it in writing? Have you heard of a will? Ever heard of a will, Viserys?
