Is that is that predominantly because there's a lot of sitting around waiting?
3:35
Yes, the joke in the industry is that you're actually paid to wait.
3:39
That's actually where you're making your money.
3:41
Yeah, in my case, I seem to have the luck of every time I would get a TV series or job or whatever, it would generally be in the cold winter months.
3:52
You're up very early, you're in the makeup chair and in costume, and then they put you in a generally pretty artificially overheated trailer until they're ready for you because there's a lot to set up and so on.
4:06
And so your challenge is to not fall asleep.
4:10
Because once they're ready for you, they're ready and you have to go.

So, so the things that you're teaching, so I presume you make something beyond once you've got beyond the basic knit stitch and making a square or a cushion cover, do you actually design items that then you teach people how to make?
0:48
Now, what inspired you to do this work?
0:52
It was very organic, to be honest with you.
0:54
I started to, I, I started knitting as a way to pass the time on TV sets mainly, and also as a way to calm myself.
1:03
When you've come off stage when you're doing theater, your adrenaline is quite high.
1:08
So it became like a, a very healthy tool for me to ground myself, calm myself, and explore my creativity in a different way, a way that increasingly I appreciated that didn't need external validation.
1:24
Like, when you do a creative job, you need somebody to give you a job, to give you permission to be creative.
1:30
Yeah, knitting very organically became this, this really brilliant aspect in my life.
