Can you tell me a bit about these sisters and what their relationship is like?

Oh, sure.

They're like sisters.

[laughs] What can I say? [laughs] If you've got a sister, you'll know what I mean.

Um, I grew up with two sisters and two brothers, so I've been obviously a part of that all my life and fascinated by it.

Um, not, you know, not knowing quite how to articulate it, I think as we find out by experience.

So these two women, they were kids, uh, when they heard two really rough stories.

She can't sleep, and then she's taken out of that through this kind of comforting storytelling, this, you know, speaking to ghosts that Petra does, which then made me wonder as the reader, how are you on, on ghosts? Is that something you feel is, is real possibly?

So if we actually sat down with a bit of paper and we mapped out January 1, 20 whatever, and then we mapped out every appointment, every symptom, and someone had had the conversation about menopause with you right at the get-go, do you think you'd have had a different trajectory? Yes.

Yes.

Because after the clinic...

I had then learned quite a bit on the course when we started the course in September.

And I went to the clinic in November.

And I thought I was really well prepared and I had all the answers, had all the symptoms down.

And I came away from that thinking, oh my goodness, you know, I've started to do more training.

So, yeah, I'm so excited.

And one way to understand it better is to read, not just informative books but literature, novels, plays, poems, contemporary and from the past, including literature translated from other languages, other different realities.

Mm.

Um, it strikes me that this is a, a deeply polit- political book.

Uh, quiet, discreetly political.

Simply says out loud what we really need to hear right now in a time where we are under pressure.
