Alexandre Kouchner

And let me tell you, in France, six months away from a presidential election, I know not one politician who's willing and able to have a very difficult conversation with his or her voters.

Alexandre Kouchner in Paris, I'm going to let you get on with your Sunday, and we'll almost let you get on with your Sunday, Guy Delany in Belgrade.

We heard Alexandre almost sort of at least calling it on the part of the polls where things could end up in six months.

But in a shorter span of time, what do you think happens to Mr. Vucic?

President Macron, who visited the scene of the attack in Trapp, described it as a racist terrorist attack and called it a turning point for France.

Well, Alexandre Kouchner is a journalist and political analyst based in Paris.

He's on the line now.

Alexandre, thanks for being with us on The World tonight.

Anti-terrorist prosecutors are on the case, but it does come at a very fragile moment for France.

It certainly does.

Alexandre Kouchner in Paris.

Thank you very much.

Coming up, we head to Studio 5 in Rue Bachemont in Paris for the mood in the city after a day of violent protests.

Alexandre Kouchner is there.

Good morning, Alex.

Was this the day that changed France?
