Alexander Pruss

Yeah, so th- uh, just to give credit to that person, that was not me.

That was Alex Pruss, uh, the phil- very, very sharp philosopher.

Yeah, and you're right.

You pr- he's got this clever move where, um, you just give back to the Nazi what the Nazi gives to you.

This is popular among various philosophers and physicists.

It's not the consensus or anything, but you know, you know, Catholic philosophers also take this seriously and adopt it, like Alexander Pruss, one of the best Catholic philosophers alive.

So maybe if the universe is like a static block and God just exists outside of time, He doesn't need to change because it's not like there really is a kind of objective temporal dynamism going on.

But even if you think there is objective temporal dynamism or change going on in the world, then maybe, uh, all times are just present to God but not present to us.

It's that, but also, to be honest, it's just something I've seen written all over the place over and over again.

Like for example, when we're reading The PSR, The Principle of Sufficient Reason by Alexander Pruss, he had some of those objections, like the BCCF, he kept talking about it, et cetera, et cetera.

So these are the f-five main objections.

We also said there are two kinds of argument.

Right.

Uh, so that was one thing is just, like, you and, like, lots of others were actually taking the philosophical research from people like Alexander Pruss, Josh Rasmussen, Richard Swinburne, some of the best theists, and, like, Immanuel Kant, you know, I could go on, and the list goes on and on and on, and you were just taking them and breaking them down for a popular audience.

And, um, I was interested in those topics.

I was researching them.

Um, and you know, that, that continued up all the way through my senior year of high school and I was just talking to him about all my objections and, uh, going back and forth about his arguments and whatnot.

Um, and you know, he was pointing me to his book Necessary Existence, so I picked that up.

He was pointing me to the work of Alexander Pruss, so I started reading, um, The Principle of Sufficient Reason: A Reassessment from Alexander Pruss.

I started reading Pruss's other books, like Actuality, Possibility and Worlds, and I started just like delving into Pruss and Rasmussen.
