Luke StrandGUEST
36:33
... you know, math-wise, I'm, I'm not, I'm out on that part.
Scott StrandeHOST
36:36
[laughs] Uh, I wanna, I wanna tell you how good a job you do with your players, 'cause our guy out in Vegas that does, uh, pro hockey with me, um, had a chance to visit with, uh, Alex the other day, Alex Tracy, and, um, he, he texted me right after the interview.
Scott StrandeHOST
36:54
He goes, "Wow, what a great guy." And he goes, uh, "You should have seen him light up when he was talking about Minnesota State and you, Coach."
Luke StrandGUEST
37:01
[laughs]
Luke StrandGUEST
37:47
... with, when that's the scenario.
Luke StrandGUEST
37:48
Um, and he makes it, he made it very easy to be a coach, that's for sure.
Scott StrandeHOST
37:52
He, uh, he made a comment though that I thought was so, so Alex Tracy.
Scott StrandeHOST
37:57
Um, our guy asked him about his first win, uh, and a shutout in his first professional game, and, uh, Alex said, "Yeah, that was pretty cool, but what's even more cool was listening to the fans in Tahoe chant my name, and understanding where I played before, and understanding the Maverick," and everything else.
Nathan CimaHOST
17:09
But my thing is they lost, in a lot of ways, their identity.
Nathan CimaHOST
17:14
You think like who was, who on that roster last year was the epitome of Minnesota State hockey? And it was Evan Murr, Mason Wheeler, Campbell Psychos, and Alex Tracy.
Nathan CimaHOST
17:24
That was their, that was the core of their team, and that was what allowed them to, you know, play the way they wanted to play and a- achieve the things they ultimately achieved.
Nathan CimaHOST
17:33
And they don't return any of those guys.
Nathan CimaHOST
17:35
And it's, you know, Sam Corp is a, it's an interesting piece of business to get him in and, you know, see if he can handle some of Evan Murr's role.
Nathan CimaHOST
17:43
But he's, you know, it's not a proven commodity.
Nathan CimaHOST
17:46
Same thing with Will Skehan and Mason Wheeler and Vasi Letty and Alex Tracy.
Nathan CimaHOST
17:50
It's, you know, it, good solutions given the hand that you've been dealt, but it's a very difficult hand.
Scott StrandeHOST
62:23
Unfortunately, we're just running out of time right now.
Scott StrandeHOST
62:26
I'm going to try to sneak in an interview that Stephen got with a former Minnesota State Maverick who we think is going to be In the ECHL, that being the one and the only Alex Tracy.
Scott StrandeHOST
62:37
Let me see if I can gather this up for you here.
Scott StrandeHOST
62:40
Steven, take it away for a minute.
Steven MarshHOST
62:44
All right, yeah, so Alex Tracy is going to most likely be with the ECHL Tahoe Night Monsters, but was at Henderson Silver Knights training camp this week, and we mentioned earlier in the show how a lot of the start of camps, the numbers were small because a lot of the guys that would be on the AHL team were still with the NHL training camp, so you had kind of a smaller number at the start of Henderson camp, and and probably guys that would be most likely in the ECHL or people that they invited in to skate for the first few days of the AHL.
Steven MarshHOST
63:18
I've
Scott StrandeHOST
63:18
got Alex here, and we're almost out of time, so let's try to sneak the six minutes in quickly.
Steven MarshHOST
63:26
Henderson Silver Knights training camper with a former Minnesota State Maverick goaltender, but now he's in the Golden Knights organization, Alex Tracy.
Brad SchlossmanHOST
41:21
Jacob Fowler.
Brad SchlossmanHOST
41:22
He ended up being OK. Alex Tracy, he ended up being okay.
Brad SchlossmanHOST
41:29
So like, there's a pattern.
Brad SchlossmanHOST
41:30
Like if you win the cup as a goalie, you go look at that list and you're like, Oh, like those guys all turn out to be really good.
Brad SchlossmanHOST
41:21
Jacob Fowler.
Brad SchlossmanHOST
41:22
He ended up being OK. Alex Tracy, he ended up being okay.
Brad SchlossmanHOST
41:29
So like, there's a pattern.
Brad SchlossmanHOST
41:30
Like if you win the cup as a goalie, you go look at that list and you're like, Oh, like those guys all turn out to be really good.
CamHOST
25:36
Be careful.
CamHOST
25:37
Uh, Alex Tracy's the Vegas, Connor Mackey's with the Blackhawks, uh, Teddy Bluger's with the Leafs.
CamHOST
25:43
Nathan Smith is down and with the Panthers and Jake Livingstone is with the flames.
CamHOST
25:48
So, um, Smith is back in Florida, huh? Good for him.
Trent SingerHOST
62:33
And so I'm curious to see, you know, coming into the CCHA, he's going to have a lot to play for than, than he has, you know, his previous four seasons, uh, of college hockey.
Trent SingerHOST
62:43
Um, and we'll see, we'll see how, you know, if it's big shoes to fill, we, you know, we could step, we could talk circles around that, but there is no more Alex Tracy, but you do bring in a really, really experienced goaltender in Lassie Letty.
Trent SingerHOST
62:56
So, Very curious to see how he translates.
Trent SingerHOST
62:58
He won 13 games last season.
Rod PedersenHOST
10:38
Vegas Golden Knights general manager Kelly McCrimmon announced today, Monday, that the following 12 players have been assigned to Henderson for the start of training camp with the Silver Knights.
Rod PedersenHOST
10:46
Jordan Gustafson, Brandon Hickey, Lucas Johansson, Jet Jones, Samuel Mayer, Wiley McKay, Pavel Boisevich, Bronson Ride, Shane Smith, Sloan Stanek, Trent Swick, and Alex Tracy.
Rod PedersenHOST
11:02
So the Vegas Golden Knights very quickly getting down in numbers.
Rod PedersenHOST
11:05
They beat the LA Kings 4-2 Saturday night in Ontario, California.
Jared RubadoHOST
52:36
He's, I think, listed at 6'1", which is on the shorter end for goalies.
Jared RubadoHOST
52:40
But I mean, Alex Tracy was under six foot.
Jared RubadoHOST
52:43
Matias Scholl was under six foot.
Jared RubadoHOST
52:45
I don't think Bartoszkewicz is on, he might be listed over six foot.

33 MINS LATER

Jared RubadoHOST
86:08
They bring about half of their points back, 54.9%.
Jared RubadoHOST
86:12
They lost 134 points to graduation in the portal.
Jared RubadoHOST
86:15
Obviously, Trent, the big two departures are Evan Murr and Alex Tracy.
Jared RubadoHOST
86:20
Murr transfers to the U of M. Tracy graduates as an All-American goalie.
Tom HardenHOST
13:39
So, Paul, you brought up the point that I was going to make, and, you know, I think what is hurting Minnesota State in the eyes of preseason votes is that change in net.
Tom HardenHOST
13:50
You know, Alex Tracy is, he's one of a kind.
Tom HardenHOST
13:55
You, like, It's going to be a tough task for Lassie Letty or Raiden DeGaulle or Matthew Syverson coming over from Linwood.
Tom HardenHOST
14:06
It's going to be a tall task for any of those three guys to fill the void left by Tracy between the pipes.
Tom HardenHOST
14:26
you know, not everybody pays attention to the Alaska schools or the, you know, the other independents to quite the same degree.
Tom HardenHOST
14:36
And I think that it's a, it's a big miss to underestimate that addition.
Scott StrandeHOST
14:42
All right, can I make a case for Lassie Letty and the difference between him and Alex Tracy? And you guys both know how much I'm fond of Alex Tracy.
Scott StrandeHOST
14:51
I mean, goodness gracious, what more could that kid do? But let's be honest here.
