So like, how does that kind of sit with you? And then how do you bounce back from just mentally? I

I think what I've learned to do is the day-to-day trading is like the regular season football game.

So I need to make sure that when the Super Bowl is coming, that I am locked in and I'm focused.
A
4:02Alex TemizGUEST
There's only one Super Bowl in our case, right? So for me, I don't know, like I always feel like I underperform every single time.

I'd be curious for all you guys, if you don't mind going around, what role does sentiment play for your trading and what role does fundamental awareness of the fundamentals play for your trading?

I would say that back at that time, you know, I was starting to find consistency trading.
A

You know, I was maybe making couple of hundred dollars a day, maybe a couple of thousand dollars in a day, scaling, scaling, scaling until eventually I had that really big opportunity on CLTX, which was one of those gap and craps, but on a much larger scale, you know? So what helped me scale after that, I mean, what I learned is, like, trading is about confidence, it's about trusting your process, and having a routine that you could follow to repeat and make money every day.
A
9:51Alex TemizGUEST
Like for example, it started off with the gap and crap, right? That was one type of playbook.
A
9:58Alex TemizGUEST
And the first red day is obviously very, very common right now, but back then that was something that Bao was using on OTCs.

Static ads... you know, using AI and all these different things, you know, hit or miss.
A
17:37Alex TemizGUEST
So we launched probably, I would say, call it 10 video ads and five static photo ads.
A

And what we do is we take the variations of what's performing the best and try to make new angles on it.

That's right

And I've had multiple mentors throughout my trading career, right? But I think that the best way to learn a strategy is to at least piggyback something or someone that you know has had success in the markets, 'cause again, history tends to repeat itself.
A
81:55Alex TemizGUEST
So the way that I learned the first red day strategy was my mentor Bao was using it.
A
82:03Alex TemizGUEST
So whereas he was using that strategy to scalp and make a little bit of money, I recognized that the win rate was so high that I should go bigger, and I evolved that strategy.

So I think it's really important is, number one is, if you do not know the grade of your setup, you have not earned the ability to size up yet.
A
27:07Alex TemizGUEST
And it's very, very simple to understand because the reality is, whenever someone wants to get into trading, they wanna start sizing up immediately, right? It's like, you know, uh, you know, you start trading, you see all these, you know, Instagram videos, these YouTube videos, the cars, the watches, this, that, and then, you know, you're trying to replicate that with a $1,000 account.
A

And what you have to remember is, maybe it might be a good idea to kind of, you know, share a little bit about me is, my first year trading, I lost money.

So is that adding or scaling? For example, if I plan, you know, 1,000 shares short on this ticker, maybe I start with 200 and size into it, is there an appropriate way to put fuel on, on your house? [laughs] Or is it all fuel and it's just you're, you should-
