since then, Alex Rins has struggled significantly.
R
75:16RosieHOST
And then now he, then he injured his leg when he was at Honda, and then he's, like, leaving, you know, he's, doesn't have a seat at the end of the year.
R
75:22RosieHOST
So, like, I have an eternal grudge [laughs] against Suzuki for leaving the sport, 'cause I regard it as, like, ruining Alex Rins and possibly Joan Mir's career as well.
R
75:32RosieHOST
It was like, Suzuki.
R

Plus, it just sucks that we don't have a sixth manufacturer, and there's only five of them now.

Ouch.
P
53:52Peter McLarenHOST
Yeah, bad week over Yamaha, wasn't it, all round? As you say, Alex Marquez, who did well at Red Bull Ring last year, but really right from that sort of bizarre accident in practice, wasn't it? And then another one here, too, I think qualifying in the second one, set his weekend back.
P
54:07Peter McLarenHOST
Then I think he tangled with his own teammate in the race in the Alder Go, I think... uh there was some sort of instant i think that's why aldegay got the post-race sort of time penalty added on so yeah just just a well in alex mark his own words zero fun wasn't it they it seemed they just couldn't get uh the bike to work with the the stiffer construction rear tire and and tried everything and just weren't getting anywhere with it so as he yeah as you said not a great weekend for him and then for all the yamahas really yes guattarara again is is that guy who's being the standout but but where are they they're all at the back of the field aren't they top rack even as bad as it sounds they're still finished in front of jack miller whose final laps were sort of five six seven seconds off the pace so they were having you know jack spoke about these massive problems with electronics the traction it you just get the impression that yamaha is looking at i suppose they should be they're fully focused on the 27 bike now that's that's how it appears to me anyway and uh there is a much point is that let's be honest in trying to develop this bike when you've got a completely new bike coming in so even if they got this bike working what what would they really gain from it you know everything is changing for next year so yeah difficult times for all the Yamaha riders I suppose top rack should be on the 850 obviously with the Pirelli tires we don't have an official entry list yet even though the test is today so presumably there's one somewhere but Certainly when I was asking around yesterday, there wasn't an official entry list for this test, but Toprak obviously has the contract for next year.
P
55:33Peter McLarenHOST
He rode the bike at the last test, so we can assume he'll be on it today again.
P
55:37Peter McLarenHOST
That's the big carrot for him, isn't it, as you say, because he's going through these really dark times as far as the races at the moment.

But it does confound them.
V
37:39Valentin KhorounzhiyHOST
I mean, I asked Alex Rins, like, how is it that two years in a row with two different bikes, you guys have vastly underperformed your season baseline here? And he was like, well, that's the same thing I ask Yamaha.
V
37:54Valentin KhorounzhiyHOST
I would also really like to know, you know, they're lacking grip.
V

They were all like spinning up a storm.

don't know if that's like, hey, I'm going four wheels.

It could also be the KTM, because KTM isn't doing the best for some of their bikes.
J

But probably Alex Rins, he's just signed for christine but i think that he needs to take a step back and just like like not start from the beginning but like just start step by step again because when i see him right he's very rushed like he doesn't think through he he does have a few crashes
C

No, I don't mind Jack, but he is getting on the older side and after seeing what he did at the Suzuka 8-hour, I think it'd be better off him somewhere like the World Superbike or
