He's the 18-year-old Jamaican-American driver currently racing in the Formula Regional Series EuroCup 3, where he's sixth in the standings, and has just been announced to join Prema for the remainder of the 2026 F3 season.

Seb, can you tell us about Alex's EuroCup 3 campaign and why he's grabbed the attention of Prema this year?

I think Campos have, I think they've really struggled a bit with adapting to the new car.

They used to be, obviously them and MP Motorsport used to be powerhouses in Euro Cup 3.

Now they're a little bit... a little bit down the pecking order but I think it's about as expected from what I was expecting from Powell and the team he finished fifth in the Spanish Winter Championship and I think he definitely would have wanted to be a bit higher in the standings right now because as many people might have known there's been an element of bad luck for Alex Powell this season you only really have to look at Paul Tamau back in June he was taking out of both races whilst running in the points and To be honest, I felt quite bad for him because they were two very unlucky incidents that he was caught up in.

And I think he definitely deserved to be in the points that weekend.
