And Goldberg wants Broderick to play Alex P. Keaton, which, you know, you could easily see, right? If Broderick plays, um, Alex Keaton, kind of like Ferris Bueller, sort of fast and loose and goofy.

Uh, [clears throat] but he's not available, so the search begins.

Um, and eventually they land on Michael J.

The first season of 90210 is about the Walshs, about Jim and Cindy Walsh and Brandon and Brenda, and, you know, w- we're a fish out of the water in Beverly Hills, and how do we navigate this, and how do we get this, and then at the end of the episode, they're all together talking in the living room, and they're a family, they hug, and...

And then it just turns into a, you know, a soap opera.

Well, Family Ties becomes w- while, while giving, I think, a lot of room to the supporting characters, uh, the other characters, becomes the, the Alex P. Keaton show.

He's the breakout star.

Who, like, he's kind of, like, the demented.

He's kind of, like, Scarface meets Richie Rich meets Alex P. Keaton.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I, it was before that time, but it was, like, Alex P. Keaton, the-

[laughs]

And he was in like one of their media departments, you know, and he gets up on the desk.

He sits up on the table, you know, like he's Alex P Keaton or something in the kitchen.

He props himself up and he starts like proselytizing to everybody in the room about how in the, you know, in, in some years to come what's really going to matter is on the phone.

And, you know, fans are going to watch wrestling on their phone or, or, you know, when they're in the arena live, they're going to be able to interact with stuff happening live through their phone.
