Alex Essoe

She's directed one of the episodes from the new Carrie series, and she has also directed parts from The Midnight Club and, um, Haunting of Hill House.

The cast i- uh, it's Alex Essoe is Lynn, Lynn Shay is Lynn's mother, Barbara Crampton plays the witch, Mick Garris plays Eric, Stuart Gordon plays Sherlock Holmes, and Vee Nixie is Mary Bailey.

This is one of those that ha- probably has the best idea for a horror.

And the best cast.

The Pope's Exorcist is a 2023 supernatural horror film directed by Julius Avery from a screenplay by Michael Petroni and Evan Tsifopoulos, based on the 1990 book, An Exorcist Tells His Story, and the 1992 book, An Exorcist: More Stories by Father Gabriel Amorth.

The film stars Russell Crowe as Amorth with Daniel Zovatto, Alex Essoe, and Franco Nero in supporting roles.

Production began in 2020 when Screen Gems purchased the rights to Amorth's story.

It was released in April 2023 and grossed $77 million worldwide.

Shark movies feel so beholden to Jaws that they all have to reference it.

Mm-hmm.

And like Exorcist movies are just like that too, where like there's some fun stuff w- within this with like the crow things, but like a lot of times it's just like when you have like the Alex Essoe character as like the mom, it's just-

Mm

Mm

... between some of the kills and the fact that it stars Alex Essoe from, you know, like Starry Eyes and stuff like that, um, I'm a big fan of hers.

And then, uh, [laughs] the killer is played by Randy Couture, which isn't a spoiler.

The killer is, like, a, like you know who he is off the bat and stuff.
