Alex Cobb

I, you guys would know the history of Orioles more, but I can't remember a starting pitcher that they signed long-term in forever.

I don't think there was, there was a couple of guys when I was there for four years, you know, Kashner and Alex Cobb, but yeah, yeah, it's just, I don't know.

I think it, I think it has gotten to the point where he just kind of outpitched a number they're comfortable with.

And I feel like he was open to a certain point of the season, maybe talking.

You're just not bringing in the right guys.

Alex Cobb.

You know, and, and the Verlander one was a feelgood story this year, so I'm not gonna be as critical on that one.

But the investments that Chris Ilitch, the owner, has afforded this front office to make, they've missed, largely.

It's pathetic is the word I would use.

Unlike Miguel Cabrera, who actively played here and stayed here and finished the entire season, the only thing Verlander should be given this year is the annual Alex Cobb Award for a guy who got paid to not show up to work.

He did nothing to help this team this year.

And now, this just strikes me as, let's move some daiquiris.

There's just no world that could take place.

I'm just, we have a caller on the line.

Alex, if you can hear my voice, don't go anywhere.

You're batting leadoff.

What has Scott Harris brought the Detroit Tigers? A bunch of bargain bin clearance rack signings.

Alex Cobb.

Avo1973, I appreciate you, man.

Rough times.

That day, he was claimed off waivers by the Atlanta Braves after having been designated for assignment by the Rays days earlier to bring up rookie reliever Brody Hopkins.

Righty Alex Cobb was recalled from Triple-A that day, and catcher Kenny Piper optioned back to Durham, and Ben Williamson was sent to Triple-A on a rehab assignment.

The big move was really right-hander Tyler Wells hitting the 15-day injured list, retroacted to the 13th, with right forearm tightness.

That's what brought Cobb up.
