Sometimes it's... it's like a putty that the good parts are when it's not slipping through your hands you can hold it and mold
21:12
exactly it's like what you're saying like it's you know there's going to be a an issue or something that comes up and it's it's like what you're saying it's how can you mold it into something that's going to benefit you in that moment and for me like my rookie year that's when i really got heavy into meeting with dr des like i know you know about that a lot and kind of coming up with a routine but then taking that routine from just me and her doing stuff together to taking it home and doing a lot more of like my own stuff that I do now.
21:42
That's a lot more of my own rituals and my own kind of a really like my habitual routines throughout the week of like kind of doing these meditations and guided meditations and like visual meditations those are like the ones that I lean on most heavy because like for me like Connor said like yeah the X's and O's are cool but like I like to go out there and I like to see what we're doing and like see the looks we're going against how I'm supposed to be like throwing my hands how Connor wants it and so like that's how I do a lot of my mental reps of like alright I'm going through scenarios like it's second and ten like the guy's a wide three technique like what are going through my checklist of like Who am I going against? Because different pass rushers have different moves.
22:24
And so you've got to know who you're going against and then how wide is he, how tight is he.
22:28
And those are the mental checks that I go through throughout the week to really be prepared.

Having

8 MINS LATER

30:37
Oh, tell me you yourself.
30:38
No, I didn't myself.
29:26
What's those challenges like for you?
29:27
I would say it's just, like you said, at any moment he can take off and so it's always in the back of your head, you know, you give him three, four seconds.
29:34
Really, with Josh, he can extend the play to five to eight seconds.
29:37
And so with that clock in the back of your mind, you really start thinking, "All right, I'm three seconds into the block.
29:44
Which way is this guy gonna start re-rushing?" And so based on that, we do a lot of, like, scramble drills at practice because that is another play within the play for us, especially having 17 as quarterback.
29:54
And so I think the main thing is just not getting the holding call.
29:59
You gotta really be able to get one hand off and push with the other.
34:33
Tell us a little bit about it.
