Alebrije

So people can make their own sign.

We're going to have Alebrijes, Minnesota, doing a craft.

Hummingbird.

Yeah.

What's an alebrije? It's a whimsical and colorful animal sculpture made in Mexico out of papier-mâché, cardboard, or carved copal wood.

The artists who make them often mix real animals with mystical features.

Alebrijes are like spirit guides.

And no two alebrijes are the same.

Each is unique.

Talk about that a little bit, these alebrijes.
