Alberto Basso

The Biblioteca Nazionale Universitaria di Torino, the National University Library of Turin, is where the Fondo Foa Giordano manuscripts are housed.

The collection is accessible to researchers and forms the foundation of the Vivaldi Edition recording project conceived by the musicologist Alberto Basso and launched in two thousand by the Parisian record company Naïve.

The aim of this project is to record the entire Turin manuscript collection, and more than sixty volumes have been released to date, performed by the leading historical performance specialists of our time.

The Saxon State Library holds the Schrank II collection, including the Pisendel manuscripts.
