Albert Sabin

Right.

One of them was Dr. Salk, and the other one was Dr. Sabin.

And we had both.

We had both because.

And After that, he actually goes in, so the Soviet Union captured Eric Traub's lab in Germany, and MP Chumakov actually went and met with Eric Traub to gain information on this immune tolerance.

And then, about 1954, MP Chumakov teams up with Albert B. Sabin of the American Public Health System to make the oral polio vaccine.

okay which which is contaminated by the sv40 of course just like salk's was and i guess salk also had um worked with this guy to some degree but he was also investigated by the fd fbi and found to have many many associations with like communist front groups and stuff jonah salk and of course he wrote that disturbing book survival of the wisest well mp chumakov He makes the oral polio vaccine with Sabin and they have all these problems and then Sabin gets his son Konstantin Shumakov, a job over in our public health system, the son of a hardcore Stalinist bioweaponier.

This guy gets into our public health system, works his way up through the FDA, and then he was running vaccine safety and review at the FDA.

And what I basically discovered by the end of my book, like, I came to the conclusion that our public health system has been taken over that it's been infiltrated and taken over to such an extent that it's now being used as a weapon against us.

And one of the things, so I don't know if you know about, I don't know if you know who Albert Sabin is.

Albert Sabin, he was this public health guy.

He actually created the oral polio vaccine.

uh he teamed up with this soviet bioweapon here named mp chumakov um and i talk about him a lot in my book and this guy mp chumakov was also testing out bioweapons on the muslims and mongolians in siberia um in the 1930s and so he also met with eric traub um I think it was 1947.

He also went down to Insel Reams and met with Eric Traub.

And he was trying to get information on this immune tolerance thing.

And then in the 1950s, he's teaming up with Albert Sabin.

So when I grew up, doctor...

It was universally recognized, for example, that the polio vaccine invented by Dr. Jonas Salk and then refined into the oral vaccine by Dr. Albert Sabin were two of the greatest inventions and inventors and discoverers ever in human history.

Well, that's correct.

They took care of a disease, at least in the U.S. and many other countries that used to paralyze tens of thousands of kids every summer, leave many of them permanently disabled.

I'm post-World War II and I got both vaccines, one in the 50s and one in the 60s.

But the problem is The Salk vaccine didn't eliminate polio in the U.S.

So in 1961, we switched to the Sabin vaccine, as did much of the world, because it's easy to drink.

I remember the taste.

Um, so for example, if you tried to take an inva- inactivated, even a whole cell or, or even a live attenuated vaccine for HIV, and believe me, it was tried, and it failed miserably, um, you realize that the virus had evolved to outsmart the immune system.

And so rather than using the old, uh, tr- uh, you know, time-tested approach of taking the virus and modifying it or somehow inactivating it, you know, like Jonas Salk did for or Albert Sabin did for poliovirus, we had to say, "Y-you can't do that here.

What you, what you have to do is you have to pursue what we called rational vaccine design." And, and that is you need to understand the basic biology of the virus, the mechanism by which it infects a cell, the counter responses of the immune system, and then you had to use that to pinpoint the vulnerabilities of the virus and be very surgical about how you would now prevent the virus from gaining a foothold within a cell.

And, um, among the scientific advances, one of the big ones were the advances in structural biology.

Thomas Edison versus Nikola Tesla.

Jonas Salk versus Albert Sabin.

Thomas Huxley versus Samuel Wilberforce.

All of these names have one big thing in common.

I had an extra dose because I was potentially exposed to it through work activities.

So someone recently vaccinated overseas had been given the live virus developed by Albert Sabin in 1961, the famous Sabin vaccine.

Not been used in the UK since 84, not used in the United States since 1987.

So the United States is well ahead of the UK in that case.
