So, you know, I still think that he has a part to play in this team, Van Dijk.

For many years, it was believed that the original sign was taken down upon Bob Paisley's takeover from Shankly in '74.

Bull's Auctioneers noticed that photos from Alan Hansen and Kenny Dalglish's signing, and later Frank McGarvey's arrival in 1979, included the original sign.

Identified thanks to cracks, paint marks and chips, they were able to identify the sign as the original.

So apparently the original ended up on the Isle of Man in a small hotel.

Now, I know he's brought in Lundstrom and O'Hara, and I'm guessing that's why he's done that.
