Alan Berg

Shout out to all the judges out there.

Charles Harrelson was first tried for murder in 1968 for the murder of Alan Berg, a carpet salesman from Houston.

At the time, it was alleged that the rival carpet seller named Frank hired Charles Harrelson to kill this man, Allen Berg.

So Woody's father, Charles, was paid off by this man to go and kill his competition, Frank.

Butler's Compound hosted the Aryan World Congress every summer.

Out of that orbit came the Order, Matthew's cell, which between 1983 and 1984 ran counterfeiting operations, robbed armored cars for millions, and murdered the Denver talk radio host Alan Berg in his driveway on June 18th of 1984 because he was Jewish and because he humiliated them on air.

Wow.

Matthews died on Whidbey Island in December 1984 when an FBI siege ended in a fire.

And in his experience, everyone could be convinced to part with it.

So when he was hired by Frank DiMaria in 1968 to convince a Houston carpet salesman named Allen Berg to fork over the $7,000 owed him, Harrelson said he'd be glad to help.

He'd convinced Sandra Sue Attaway, his girlfriend, to lure Berg into a car and they'd all take a little ride.

Sandra Sue Attaway figured their convincing would be of the threaten and rough up variety.
