Al Scorch

Just, it'll make their day, you know?

That is contributor Al Scorch in the building.

I love both of y'all answers, man.

I feel like mine is so selfish in comparison because I was just going to say, I'm still hurt off the socks getting walked down and the bears getting packed up that I'm glad that my local dispensary, Market 96, got pre-rolled 65% off right now for $6.00. $7.59 after tax.

Anna Deshawn, thank you for making time for the podcast.

Always good to be here, family.

Al Scorch, thank you for being in the building with us.

Oh, so stoked to be here.

That's WBEZ Politics and government editor Dave McKinney.

While growing up on Chicago's blue-collar northwest side, Al Scorch would imitate a classic Chicago accent as comedic relief with his friends.

He's tapped into that character for many comedic projects since then, including a popular series reviewing the city's Park District bathrooms.

Now he's embarking on a major endeavor to read Chicago's more than 3,000-page municipal code out loud for a podcast in that Chicago accent.

Generous.

Al, I have been enjoying every part of this run, the interviews, the actual games.

We have won some close ones with some clutch hitting on the road.

Like, th- that's been the best part, the fact that we've done all of this away from the ballpark.

Yeah.

On this Wednesday it's, it's, it's a lot different.

But, but A- but contributor Al Scorch in the building.

I hear you, my boy.

I don't know.

We've got contributors Al Scorch and Lee John Greco in the building.

Al, I appreciate you making time for us today.

Thank you.

Thank you for making time.

Thank you very much for having me, Jacoby.

And Al Scorch, thanks for being in the building.

Pleasure to be here.
