Al Porter

Yeah, it's a full statement now.

So basically we got the brilliant Al Porter, the brilliant Enya Martin in.

Tonight they're doing the Cavanagh's Married with Parents.

They're gigging last night.

Well, do you know what? I kind of thought, and it just shows me how much he's matured and changed as a person, that he's given people other bigger slices of the cake than him to eat.

Because, I mean, when you look at Aisling O'Neill and you look at Phelan Drew and you look at the dialogue that they have all the way through, it's like... huge Al is still there but he's kind of he's just it's like he's handing the reins to somebody else and everyone else is a part of the play but it's just a part I mean Carl

and I just treated it like a part when we were writing it we kind of just had to forget who I was going to play and just write the actual characters and write the part and you know I didn't want anybody to go oh the Al Porter play it's not the Al Porter play it's the Generation Stuck play it's the Dublin family play and it'll that's why Ireland I do

think and I'm sure Enya and uh Willow will agree with me you do have a secret sauce yeah whether it's on stage or whether it's bringing stuff from your mind to life you do have a secret sauce natural talent you're a different gravy all together and I think fair play for stop putting that

Uh-huh.

But the, the, Al Porter was MCing, so he really, he was-

Yeah

... really naughty.

How are ya? Hiya.

It's just like that.

But it was just so casual, like Al Porter at the end, fair play to him.

But how do they know how much to put it up? When somebody puts their hand up, how much do they know to raise it?

Yeah.

It's a play that's based around, uh, the life of, uh, Al Porter, about his mother and father, and, uh, him and his-

A property crisis, the gay couple have been stuck at home.

Yeah.

right

very good for an Al Porter show you know when you go live somewhere rural wouldn't it and he did live he lived up in Donegal on a bleeding little island he did he did yeah that'd be a great night for a show rural I'd love to do that for six months

what

live with Al

How weird is that?

Al Porter said that to you today, didn't he? What did

he say?

Some fellow was like, look at this, this is Al Porter.

And he was like, ah.

He was Al Porter.

Oh, yeah, true.

He was like, ah.
