You start with Chick Hearn in Los Angeles, the media center under his name.

Uh, Al McCoy in Phoenix, Don Poier in Memphis, uh, Harry Glickman up in Portland, and right off the top of my head, that may be about it.

Uh, so I'm, I'm in good company, and I, I have no one to thank more than all of you folks.

Your friendship, your support has just been, uh, stellar.

I remember growing up, um, me and my dad would be driving, um, you know, whether it was to basketball practice or a Scout meeting or whatever, listening to Suns games.

And Al McCoy was a really big part of my childhood, and I feel like it is, you know, the same for a lotta young Diamondbacks fans.

And I'm sure Mike can attest to Al McCoy as well as, you know, like Greg Schulte and Tom Brenneman, those guys that we all had the pleasure of listening to growing up.

Um, and, and just lastly, to toss my two cents in there, I think Garciaparra would be a great pick.

He's a young guy, a lotta energy, and unlike Steve Berthiaume, he does get excited in, with those walk-offs and the, and those, uh, explosive plays.

Another favorite of mine came way before Laker games were played, like 35, 40 minutes before each game.

Lawrence Tanter would get on the microphone, the PA guy, and would announce that the game is being broadcast back to the Valley of the Sun with Al McCoy on, and they'd name the radio station.

It's also being broadcast back to the Phoenix, Arizona market, and he'd name the TV station and the whole thing.

And that's how he did it.
