Al Hawkins

Now I got to go explain to my deputy and my minister.

Minister was Al Hawkins at the time.

Yeah.

And, you know, what had happened.

Uh, and it was kind of a believable story that, you know, maybe a premier's office would be involved in that type of thing, but, uh, nope, it was just a bunch of well-meaning civil servants, uh, uh on my team and uh yeah it was uh it was it wasn't a fun day having to explain now i mean uh mr hawkins is a class actor and he he handled it well i think in the media and he handled it well with us uh inside so you know everybody everybody kept their jobs but uh you know that might have been one of those days where i polished up the old resume again

uh before alex goes here i'll just say i can very vividly remember that and because it was such a story that i remember thinking was it ordered was it not order because it was so you know you couldn't tell what happened none of us knew and you didn't know how the whole thing went and it was one of those stories that even the truth again the media picked up i don't blame them like the the Fantasy was way better than reality here.

But I remember, and again, I will say this, and this is a shout out to Al Hawkins, who was the minister.

If Al wasn't the nice guy that he is, that could have went a lot worse for people involved.
