al-Hamid

And ma'bud from abd, from ibadah, worship, meaning one who is worshipped.

كَامِلُ الْأَسْمَاءِ وَالصِّفَاتِ Allah is perfect in His names and His attributes كَثِيرٌ نُعُوتِ الْحَسَرَةِ وَالأَفْعَالِ الْجَمِيلَةِ The one who has ample and abundant of beautiful descriptions and adjectives and beautiful actions دُ الْجَلَالِ وَالْاِكْرَامِ وَالْعِزِّ الَّذِي لَا يُرَامُ The possessor of honor and dignity and might that cannot be contended with الْوَاحِدُ الْأَحَدُ الْفَرْضُ الصَّمَدُ The one who's unique, the single, the absolute الْكَبِيرُ الْحَمِيدُ الْمَجِيدُ The great, the praiseworthy and the glorious A lot of vocabulary for you How many of you actually note those down? Are you able to translate al-wahid, al-ahad, al-fard, al-samad, al-kabeer, al-hameed, al-majeed? This is your exam.

This is your self-assessment exam.

Where are you at in terms of learning Arabic and learning English and learning both of them so you could become an actual caller to Islam? Because one of the most baffling things that I can't overcome and I cannot cope with is how bad it has reached.

Allah is al-ghani, the one who is free of all need.

Al-hamid, worthy of all praise.

So these meanings come into the person's mind.

So when they need something, who are they gonna ask? A Samad.

When they're brought together, they add further perfection to that.

Al-Ghani, for example, implies independence and Al-Hamid implies praise.

Al-Ghani? independent and al-Hamid, he's praised.

But when you bring them together, it basically means the one who needs nothing and is praised for giving everything.

Not Allah Azzawajal, when He is Halim, He is Ghani at the same time.

And you also have here the combination of Al-Ghani and Al-Hamid.

Why? Because a lot of times when it comes to people, when you give them money and power, they misuse it.

So Al-Hamid is the one who is praised worthy.

But when we have power, we are not praiseworthy.

We're blameworthy because we misuse it.

but rather Allah is Al-Ghani, rich and free, self-sufficient of any of those needs that His creation require.

Allah doesn't require partners, Allah doesn't require food, Allah doesn't require any type of sustenance or provision, He is Al-Ghani and He is therefore Al-Hamid, worthy of all praise, the one to whom all worship is befitting and the one to whom everyone should submit to in terms of their worship to Him .

Allah doesn't require any type of sustenance or provision.

He's Al-Ghaniyy, and He's therefore Al-Hamid, worthy of all praise, the one to whom all worship is befitting and the one to whom everyone should submit to in terms of their worship to Him Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
