Akihiko Hirata

So he's going to insert himself into this murder investigation.

But it just so happens that he knows one of the detectives, Akihiko Hirata, who, you know, playing a pretty similar role.

They went to

college together.

Sudo is going to come in and kill Ryu, like right there in the office, right?

Yeah.

And that's when some gunshots are fired and the cop, Akihiko Hirata and Kirioka sitting out in the lobby hear him and come rushing in and, and it's not going to take long for Onishi to spill his guts and talk about, you know, get the backstory.

And then we do have a flashback where 14 years ago, which is kind of, you know, it kind of messes with your perception of time, but yeah, 14 years prior to this movie was still wartime for Japan.

Uh, but anyway, cast and crew.

This was directed by Ishiro Honda, written by Takeshi Kimura and Hideo Kaijo, music by Masaru Sato, effects by Eiji Tsuburaya, and starring Yumi Shirakawa, Kenji Sahara, Akihiko Hirata, Kureha Senda, and Makoto Sato.

Lot of familiar name.

Basically the old crew back together.

Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

And so then, like I say, we're kinda gonna spiral into this noir detective story where Detective Tominaga, played by, uh, Akihiko Hirata, Dr. Serizawa himself, they're gonna try to figure out basically is, you know, Masaki was a known yakuza member.

Mm-hmm.
