Aki Kumar

Something else I'm reminded of is that she flipped the interview on me with a question about what I get out of music when I can't understand the words.

And we talked about our mutual acquaintance of Aki Kumar, who's the reason she landed on my radar to start with.

Thanks again, Aki.

Looks like she's still performing, I was looking at her website, including two upcoming shows to the San Francisco Jazz Festival in November coming this year.

You can find out what Roopa's up to next at roopamahadevan.com.

Here is me speaking with Roopa Mahadevan in February of 2021.

[upbeat music] So how long have you known Aki Kumar?

Aki, um, you know, actually through a friend of a friend.
