So Canada got the opportunity to play a fairly significant role through mentorship on the maritime component op center.

And then as CFAC, the Combined Forces Air Component Commander, We were responsible for staffing a number of positions within the CAOC, the Combined Air Operations Center.

So strategically, very important for Canada to maintain those ties with those partnerships and significant ties with the United States Navy who runs the exercise.

Operationally, we wanted to make sure that the training objectives were met.

The helicopters on the ships, The maritime component owns them.

The maritime patrol reconnaissance aircraft, even though in Canada, the Air Force, they work for the Air Force, in this situation and scenario, they work for the maritime component.

So our main goal and objective this year was the CAOC, the Air Operations Center.

and it plays a hugely significant role in RIMPAC in that it de-conflicts all the airspace.

You know, we knew Fifth Fleet headquarters had been hit.

Air Operations Center at LUD also was hit, as well as other facilities.

And leadership has been clear, hey, we managed to prosecute the mission, despite the fact that that happened.
