Ai No Corrida

Again, that was Jumpin'! (Get Hot, Hit The Spot) by Vera off of the 1980 single extended version B.

Before that, we heard the track Ai No Corrida by Quincy Jones and Charles May off of his 1981 album, The Dude.

Now, this is a cover.

The original was by Chaz Jankel.

Um, and the title, um, Ai No Corrida, which I'm probably butchering, is, uh, actually meaning bullfight of love, and it's a mixture between Japanese and Spanish, and it references the Japanese title of the 1976 film In the Realm of the Senses.

Um, but Quincy Jones heard the song and then recorded the famous cover for his 1981 album, The Dude, uh, as well as having Charles May singing the lead as well.

That was backed by Patti Austin.
