Ahl al-Hadith

Imam Ahmad's position, he said, Imam Ahmad, ascribed to Allah the attributes with which he qualified himself and denied those which he denied with himself.

The Imams of Ahl al-Hadith, including Imam Muslim, Al-Bukhari, and Hamad, his Shaykh, Ibn Manda, Ibn Khuzaym, Ibn Batta, all affirm this fithat on their apparent meaning, which fits the majesty of Allah without likeness to His creation.

This is the position of Ahl al-Sunnah concerning the belief in Allah's names and attributes.

We ask Allah to make us of those who affirm their belief in Him on the way of the righteous predecessors.

And for me, as I said to you, mainstream orthodoxy is in a neutral category for me.

Sufis, Salafis, Barelvis, Ahl al-Hadith, Deobandis, Jamaatis, Ikhwanis.

I don't bat an eyelid at all.

Doesn't bother me at all.

Everybody clear on this or not? And of course the same is going to apply to Shafi'i, Malik, and all of the ulama.

But right now we're talking about Ahlul Hadith specifically.
