Agassiz

We're not shutting down, locking down in this apartment.

And so within the span of one week, she found a farm on 20 acres in Agassiz.

So about two hours out on a good day from Vancouver, right nestled up to a mountain at the very edge of the Fraser Valley.

And she's like, we're moving there.

And for a park to come on a Sunday, that's pretty busy.

Agassiz wasn't open.

So which even made more people, you know, go towards Popkin.

They're closing down in November.

Yeah.

And so, uh, and so, um, and so I decided at one point that I wanted, wanted to be an architect, and at sort of around the same time, um, me and a bunch of friends went to a music festival, and the music festival was in Agassiz, also known as Seabird Island.

And I saw the Seabird Island School by this firm, and it had, had just been completed, and I saw it and I thought, "This is incredible.

I definitely wanna be an architect." And-

He was raised in Nazareth.

And when he goes into ministry, they say, can any good thing come from Nazareth? It's like, can any good thing come from Agassiz? Same type of question.

Zechariah's promise should ring through our ears.

Zechariah, as he's looking at the daunting needs of the world and saying, do not despise the day of small things.

According to Teresa, Penner went to Kent Institution, a maximum security prison in Agassiz, British Columbia, the only maximum security facility in the entire Pacific region.

Teresa says she's kept every letter Correctional Service Canada has sent her, most of it's routine, the language of a system checking a box.

What it adds up to, though, is a man who's been moved around a lot.

I was just so thank you, Lois and Becky, for leading us in that powerful time.

So encouraged by what God is doing in our church and calling men like Steve to alongside Jim here in Agassiz, but the rest... of the elders team to give a good, solid, consistent leadership to our church.

So encouraged.

I'm going to talk a little bit more about that in a bit.

It's a sort of a pre-baptism and ministry partnership class where you can just get to know who we are, ask your questions.

We're going to be doing that in October right here for Harrison, Lake Arrowrock and Agassiz.
