Agape feast

And, uh, as I said in that call, I don't mind if churches hold evangelistic meetings too, but they should have meetings for the church as well, and the church is made up of only Christians.

By the way, in the early church, not only in Apostolic times, but also in, in a century or two after that for se- for a while, the central, uh, aspect of a Christian meeting was what they called the Agape feast.

Uh, it was a love feast and, um, and, and they took communion there.

And it was very much understood both in the New Testament, I think, and in the, and in the church fathers, that an unbaptized person [clears throat] has no, uh, you know, no place at that feast.

Um, so it was, it, it was just a given that these Christian meetings were for Christians.

I mean, obviously everyone can check for themselves whether the Bible says that or not.

Just read First Corinthians chapter 14 and, uh, you know, see what does it sound like.

Read First Corinthians, uh, 11 about the love feast, about the communion.

So it's a very authentic emollient.
